The limitation page reads:
This publication has been
reproduced from the original copy of the first printing of the Laws of the
Republic of Texas used by Secretary of State, Robert A. Irion.
In 1837 the printing left
much to be desired. The original was printed by the Telegraph, a
Houston newspaper operating during the time. The equipment, paper,
ink and handset type were still crude. Some pages were not printed
up to the standards of the day.
Through modern lithography
the printer has been able to recapture some of the copy
that
was lost in the original printing.
One hundred and forty-nine
years after the original printing, this limited edition of 2500 was
printed in Houston, Texas, by The Beasely Company, Inc. in 1986.
We have a limited number of these
volumes still in the original shrink-wrap. Orders will be filled on a
first come, first served basis.
